Katrina, Katrina

Created in New Orleans six months post Katrina, this "live documentary" of dance, spoken word, video, and fabulous New Orleans music evolves as it tours throughout the country.  From the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC to  NYC's Thalia Theater at Symphony Space, to Mandali Hall in Meherazad, India, people are falling in love with New Orleans and are being inspired to volunteer their services to help rebuild through experiencing this performance project.  With all text created by New Orleanians in workshops led by Pearson and Widrig, new performers in each city embody their words, entering into their profound journey of loss and love.

Join PEARSONWIDRIG DANCETHEATER in dancing that irresistibly invigorates, awakens, and challenges body and mind in an atmosphere rich in humor and heart.
