The January “Lunchtime” session on
“The Chiapas Project” gives community members an opportunity to experience behind-the-scenes aspects of CORE Performance Company’s collaborative creative process, especially in connection with the new piece,
Corazon Abierto: Heart Open, a multimedia performance piece based on the weaving traditions of the Mayan people in
Chiapas, Mexico. Collaborating artists, Susan Mendez Prins, co-choreographer and Terrance Karn, composer, will be present because they are in Atlanta for a work period on the piece.
