next on May 4
Lunchtime in the Studio will be held on Friday, May 4 in the Several Dancers Core studios from noon to 1 p.m. The free event will be free lunch and a discussion with the dancers on the topic "Visual Art as Inspiration for Dancemaking". This will be the final Lunchtime event of this season. The series will begin again for the 2007-08 Season in September. Lunch is donated by Raging Burrito.

Fieldwork Showcase
Several Dancers Core presents the spring Fieldwork Showcase at Emory's Schwartz Center Dance Studio on Sunday, April 29, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. Artists participating in the Fieldwork workshop show new works-in-progress that they have created using the Fieldwork process. Audience is invited to give feedback after the performance.

CORE Performance Company performed at Miami Beach Dance Festival
CORE Performance Company performed a Salon performance of Aria for an Endandgered Species at the Miami Beach Dance Festival on April 13. Presented by Center for Emerging Art, CORE disucssed the creation of the evening-length work, based on an installation by Yoko Ono, and showed excerpts of the choreography live, and on video.
Joined by guest artists, CORE also taught a workshop in a local school.
