CPC in Mexico for creation
CORE Performance Company is headed to Mexico City for three weeks to begin work on an original work by Mexican choreographer, Alicia Sanchez. The company will be in daily rehearsals with the choreographer, whose work you may have seen when her company, Alicia Sanchez y Compania, was presented by SDC and the Rialto Center in fall 2005.
Sanchez will be joining CORE Performance Company in Atlanta in the spring to continue work with the dancers on the new piece that will be part of an evening of shorter works commissioned by guest choreographers to be performed in CORE's 2008-09 Season.

Dynamic X-Change: new partner
Dynamic X-Change Healing Arts Program welcomes another new partner organization, the King's Bridge Elderly Assisted Living Center. Our Dynamic X-Change instructors are trained to teach movement to communities at risk, to allow participants to experience the richness of expression and healing that can take place in the body through movement. The classes will be offered for residents at the center through the fall. We are happy to be able to offer this service to the community.

Fall Fieldwork Workshop
Several Dancers Core and Emory University Dance Program present the fall session of Fieldwork beginning September 30 and occurring weekly through the showcase performance on December 9. Fieldwork is an indispensable tool for independent artists making new work in any discipline. Artists show work each week to a group of their peers, and receive feedback in a facilitated and non-directorial format. At the end of 10 sessions, artists have the option to showcase the product of this refining process to the public.
