CORE Performed at The Seen Gallery

CORE Performance Company performed from 7-8 p.m. at The Seen Gallery's exhibit “Click Clique” October 15.  Company members were “Ragging at The Seen,” incorporating the period and the practice of “ragging”—taking a well-known tune and changing the rhythm of it to make it syncopated, or "jazzy"-sounding.  Ragtime rang out from the gallery as it did across the country when the craze for "ragged music" swept the United States just before the Twentieth Century began.
