Several Dancers Core, JavaMonkey and Mingei World Arts are joining together to celebrate Mexican culture this fall. During the month of October, JavaMonkey will be exhibiting the beautiful and intricate hand woven textiles by Lucía Hernández López, a Mayan weaver Several Dancers Core is collaborating with on a performance project, Corazón Abriendo (Heart Opening.) Mingei World Arts, the direct import store next door to JavaMonkey, will be selling unique handmade items by Ms. López, and from the owners’ buying trip to Oaxaca, Mexico. The store will also be putting on a Day of the Dead event on October 28.read more

Studio Spotlight: Flamenco

Flamenco classes for all ages offered by Julie Baggenstoss now at the SDC Studios! Thursday nights classes begin with the children's class at 6:00 pm, followed by adult Intermediate I at 7:00 pm and Intermediate II at 8:15 pm. The beginner adult class is on Saturdays at noon.
