Lunchtime in the Studio moves to Fridays
Lunchtime in the Studio will be changing days in 2007. No longer on the third Wednesday of the month, this interactive free performance will be moved to the first Fridays of every other month in CORE Performance Company's season. This first installment at the new time will take place on January 5, 2007. The place and type of event remians the same. January's event will allow audience to take part in a Fieldwork session, and lunch is donated by A Southern Tradition.

Studio Spotlight: Contemporary dance
Emily Christianson (SDC Studio Manager) offers Intermediate/Advanced level Modern dance classes at Several Dancers Core every Monday evening from 6:30-8:00. Emily’s classes focus on contemporary release technique infused with classic modern dance elements. Release technique emphasizes the use of breath, momentum, and gravity to facilitate movement, rather than sheer muscular force. “When I moved to Atlanta eight months ago, I looked all over for a release technique class to take and didn’t really find one. Then I thought that perhaps I could introduce this way of moving into a modern class while at the same time connecting with other dancers in the community.” Please email Emily at echristianson_8@hotmail.com for more information.
