"Shedd" at the Bayou City Art Festival
CORE Performance Company will perform an original site-based work at the Bayou City Art Festival March 23-25 at 2 p.m. each day. CORE Performance Company will unleash its dynamic and unique movement sense using the natural environment of Memorial Park as its stage, allowing the audience to re-envision the space around them through dance. "Shedd" centers on the ideas of accumulation and deconstruction, adding and removing layers and finding new realities. The performance is free with festival admission.

Audition for CORE Performance Company
CORE Performance Company will hold auditions for dancers on Saturday, March 24 at 10 am in Studio C of the Barnevelder Movement Arts Complex. Movers with contemporary dance experience over the age of 20 are welcome to join us for class and meet the company.

Fieldwork showcase changes date
The Fieldwork Showcase, the informal showing at the end of the ten-week Fieldwork workshop for independent artists, has moved from Friday, April 13 back a day to Thursday, April 12 at 7:30 in the Dance Studio at Houston Community College Central. The public is welcome to view the works created through the Fieldwork process, and offer their feedback to the artists.
