"Arias from Messiah"Several Dancers Core presents CORE Performance Company and Mercury Baroque in "Arias from Messiah" on Sunday, March 9 at 7 p.m. in the Magnolia Ballroom in the Historic Magnolia Brewery building. The dancers will be joined by talented vocal soloists and musicians from Mercury Baroque, directed by the ensemble's artistic director, Antoine Plante, in the beautifully restored historic space performing an evening of arias from George Frideric Handel's masterwork, Messiah. The performance will be followed by a dessert reception and an opportunity to meet the artists. Tickets are available through the SDC website and at the door.

CORE at Bayou City Art FestivalSeveral Dancers Core and the Art Colony Association present CORE Performance Company in "Last Flight of the Heron" at the Bayou City Art Festival Memorial Park on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, March 28-30 at 2 p.m. each day. This site-based work will move through the festival grounds, allowing audience to follow the dance as it weaves color and movement into the natural surroundings of Memorial Park. The performance is free with festival admission.

"Artful Thursday" at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston
CORE Performance Company performs "John Alexander: A Requiem for Loss" at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston's "Artful Thursday" on April 17 at 6:30 p.m. Free in the Brown Auditorium Theater, inside The Caroline Wiess Law Building, at 1001 Bissonnet. CORE Performance Company responds to East Texas native John Alexander’s work with new choreography that engages the human body in the artist’s passionate elegy to our world.
