CORE Performance Company performs "John Alexander: A Requiem for Loss" at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston's "Artful Thursday" on April 17 at 6:30 p.m. Free in the Brown Auditorium Theater, inside The Caroline Wiess Law Building, at 1001 Bissonnet. CORE Performance Company responds to East Texas native John Alexander’s work with new choreography that engages the human body in the artist’s passionate elegy to our world.

Spring Fieldwork Showcase
Several Dancers Core presents the Spring Fieldwork Showcase at Barnevelder Movement/Arts Complex on Tuesday, April 29 at 7:30 p.m. The showcase is a culmination of the ten-week Fieldwork workshop process, which gives the artists a chance to find a broader audience for their works-in-progress.

CORE Performs "Cumulus" in New York
CORE Performance Company performs guest choreographer Beppie Blankert's piece "Cumulus" at the Joyce SOHO June 13-15 in a shared performance with Erica Essner Performance Co-Op. You may remember Erica Essner's company from spring 2006 when SDC presented them with CORE at Miller Outdoor Theatre. This is the world premiere of "Cumulus," which CORE will premiere next season in Houston along with 2 other new works by guest choreographers, Alicia Sanchez and Nina Martin.
