Alicia Sanchez from Mexico

Alicia Sanchez, choreographer from Mexico City, has been commissioned by CORE Performance Company to create a work with the company next season, to be premiered in 2008-09 Season. But you can get a sneak peak at the work in our Salon evening next spring, where the company will share parts of the piece and invite feedback from the audience.

Class at MECA

Teaching teachers

SDC will offer classes to teachers at Multicultural Education and Counseling through the Arts (MECA) on how movement can be used as a tool with children whose who are learning English as a second language. Teachers from our Dynamic X-Change program will be sharing their methods and strategies with other teachers during this workshop. At present, the program is only offered to teachers affiliated with MECA, but could be expanded in the future if there is interest from a broader section of the community.

Creating Marketing Plan

The Executive Service Corps of Houston will be working with the marketing and public relations staff at SDC to create at marketing plan for our 2007-08 Season. SDC would like to thank the volunteers for their generosity with their time and expertise in helping us develop this plan.
