Re-envision your lunch hour with dance at
Several Dancers Core’s “Lunchtime in the Studio”

Atlanta—May 1, 2007— Join “Atlanta’s best known contemporary dance company” (AJC) for lunch on Friday, May 4, 2007! Several Dancers Core is pleased to announce the final installment of this seventh season of our popular free lunchtime performances, “Lunchtime in the Studio.” The event will take place at the Several Dancers Core studios at 139 Sycamore Street on Decatur Square, from noon to 1 p.m.. This May event is the final installment for the 2006-07 Season, and the series will return in September 2007. Admission to Lunchtime is free and free lunch is provided to the first 40 audience members. In May, the lunch is provided by Raging Burrito, and coffee is donated by Starbucks Decatur.

Begun in 1999 to give audiences a chance to see behind-the-scenes aspects of dance-making, “Lunchtime in the Studio” is a series of five in-studio performances in alternating months throughout the CORE Performance Company season. “Lunchtime in the Studio” offers a free “backstage pass” to audience members who witness and participate in the process of creating art. The topic for the May installment of the series will be “Visual Art as Inspiration for Dance.” The company will show pieces of their work created for performance in galleries and museums and discuss the creative process that leads from the exhibitions of visual art to their movement work.
